At 1PM PDT today Google Plus Search will be taken down for 1 - 2 hours for scheduled maintenance.  Service will be available at 3PM PDT.

We are performing a backend updgrade operation that requires new data to stop flowing into our search index. There should be no interruptions on topsy.com, Otter & Buttom, but new data will be stale during the operation window.  Operation is expcted to start at 5:30PM PST and continue till 8:30PM PST. 

Topsy Trending getting back to normal: Over the weekend, Topsy Trending for Twitter stopped functioning. Twitter was sending us tweets from 25 years in the future ( https://dev.twitter.com/issues/180 ), so our Trend detectors thought tweets from 2012 were just too old. We have fixed our detectors to ignore tweets from the future and Topsy Trending is getting back to normal.

API and website experience performance degradation.  Working to resolve ASAP.

Twitter API experiencing disruption. Topsy results may lack freshness until Twitter issue resolved.

Our historical index (with tweets going back to 2008) is now back online! 

This index is built using a new indexing technology that provide faster search, improved relevance and enables a new class of search features that we'll be releasing over the coming months. 

There's an intermittent netwok outage while connecting to Topsy.com and the Otter API.  The OPS team is working to resolve the issue.

We are currently conducting maintenance on the Topsy Otter API.  Otter will be unavailable for a short period during this time.

We are experiencing timeouts and slow queries on Otter API.  The root cause is known and we are working to resolve it.  

Topsy is currently experiencing delays is result freshness.  We are working to resolve the issue.
